Songs From The Movies.....

This week's song comes from the new movie, "The Marvels".
It's used with a bit of tongue in cheek, at least that's how I took it, and I really have to wonder if anybody else in the theater got the meaning of it's use.

And the movie was a comparative box office flop opener for a Marvel movie, pointing to possibly Marvel fatigue or the writer's strike crippling pre-release publicity.

I was very entertained, so I hope people are not letting critics sway them. :o
It apparently had the lowest ever opening weekend for a Marvel movie. :(

I'm looking forward to seeing it, though I'd like to watch at least part of the other Marvel series on Disney+ that introduces the girl first.

I really should go back and give that another try.
I tried to watch it and had trouble getting into the first episode and never went back for more.

I watch so very little TV of late.  I rented Chariots of Fire a couple of weeks ago, that's probably the first time I've turned on my TV in easily two or three months.  I'm seriously thinking of cutting all my streaming subscriptions and just renewing them as needed as they are not being used.

It failed to earn its production costs in the first weekend so Hollywood is screaming fail... and failing to understand that people view things differently now.

It's no longer rush out and see a film, it's now wait until they hear some reviews and see some clips before deciding to spend the money. Going to the movies is a bigger investment and many folks don't have cash spare after Halloween with the holidays about to hit that they go crazy on.

It's sad that everything HAS to be massive hits to be any good. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe if they stop spending a fortune to make the movies. UGH.......
