I just saw a headline tonight that said "Barbie" the movie could be the first blockbuster to win the Oscar since "Lord of the Rings".

All I can say is, if "Barbie" wins the Oscar for best Picture, I will stop watching the Oscars ceremonies.

Blockbuster? Yes.
Pink? Yes.
Entertaining? Apparently.
Best Movie of the Entire Year? Doubtful.

The Oscars have always been my awards show to watch, but they are getting almost too predictable.
At least when it comes to the acting awards. Who's the It Girl or Boy this season? UGH.....

Just did a quick look through the list of 2023 movies.
Not a whole lot there that's Oscar worthy.
But I would go with Golda and then there's Oppenheimer, and at the end of the year is a remake of The Color Purple and there is a George Clooney directed one that sounds like it was made for Oscar. lol.....
Sorry Barbie, there are better choices. :p

Is George Clooney a good director? He just seems so silly in a lot of his roles as an actor. It makes he think he is not that erious? I could be way off though...

I think this movie is a true story of a group of nobodies that make it to the Olympics in rowing.
