F. Bomb, F. Bomb, F. Bomb.....
Jul. 5th, 2023 08:13 pmARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Monday was my night off and I had a ticket to got see the Bryan Adams concert in St. Paul, Mn.
I got MAYBE 8 miles from home and my damn vehicle nearly died again.
I suddenly had reduced power, the engine light came on, the brake light started flashing.
I pulled over to the shoulder, and my dashboard warning lights lit up like a Christmas tree.
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That said, I vaguely remember having this problem in the past with another vehicle, but I don't remember what the problem was.
I quickly called AAA to get the damn thing towed back to the shop.
I called my brother to see if I could borrow one of their vehicles. He told me the wife was down at the camper, and he didn't think taking his pickup was a good idea.
Gee, Thanks for nothing.
So I quickly called a friend to see if I could borrow her car and she said yes. Thank Heavens.
The tow truck arrived and we took my vehicle back to the shop and I waited for my friend to come.
She finally arrived and we stopped to fill her gas tank, and then I took her back to her house, and I got on the road to St. Paul.
This is a good example of why I tend to leave early for such events.
I pulled into the parking ramp in St. Paul about 1/2 hour before the show was scheduled to start.
I got through security, and was approaching the ticket gate trying to pull up my electronic ticket when I got a text. My SIL wanted to know if they would be able to park at my place the next day for the July 4th parade. I answered back with a simple Yes. Then pulled up my ticket and got into the arena.
I went to check out the merchandise booth, and did some retail therapy.
I have a massive concert t-shirt collection and then added two more that night. One for the opening act, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, and one for the main act, Bryan Adams.
I saw that they had a couple of cds for $100 each and an LP for $150. Then I saw the note on the table that the first 100 costumers to buy one, gets the chance to get their album/cd autographed by Bryan Adams after the show. :o :o :o Let's just say that I am a souvenir junkie and an autograph junkie. :o Yes, I caved and bought a $150 LP of Bryan Adams newest record.
I went and found my seat. I got a really good one. Row 6 on the floor. :)
Joan Jett played for 1 hour, and then after set change Bryan Adams came out and played for 2 hours.
When the show got done I headed up to get in line for the autograph session. We didn't get much time, basically it was long enough to hand him your album, him sign it, a quick Hi chat, and on your way.
But I can say I met Bryan Adams now. :)
By the time I got out of there it was midnight and I headed for the car and on my way home.
Mechanic was of course closed on Tuesday for the holiday so I stopped this morning to tell them what happened and them started on the new repair.
I actually didn't get out of bed until about 5 pm, so I missed seeing if the vehicle was fixed, so I will have to stop tomorrow morning after work and check on things.
PLEASE don't let it be expensive. :o :o :o

Just paying for the meet and greet. :o
So far no charge for the latest problem, but I think there is something not right with it still. Driving in to work Friday night there was an issue, but it kept driving. :o Then in the morning after work it seemed fine.
UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
