A Day In The Life.......

So Monday morning I came home from work and my knee was pretty sore again.
I messaged my doctor asking if there was something more then Ibuprofen and Ice, that I could be doing for the Gout in my knee.
I got a reply later in the day from his nurse saying,
I spoke with Dr. Hanson about this and he suggested that if you are continuing to have issues with your knee you should probably come in and see him. Prior to that he suggests that you get this this this and this blood test to see if it shows anything. Is that something you can agree too?
Paraphrasing there......

So I sent a reply back saying,
Well, if that's the only way I am going to get something done about my knee I guess I have no choice.
And then I described where and when I wanted to get my blood work done Wednesday morning.

It is now Tuesday at 6:30 pm and I have yet to get a response to my request.
I guess my knee is not a high priority for them.
Thanks for nothing.

Meanwhile I am sucking on Ibuprofen again and occasionally taking some Tylenol for the pain.
Wonder when my kidneys are going to give out because of all the Ibuprofen I have taken over the last several years.

Im sorry you are not getting the help you need with this.

When I was younger and had no dental insurance I used to chew on Excedrin and Tylenol for tooth ache. I often wonder if my liver or kidneys will go first.

When Russet and I arrived in Berlin in '15, she realized she'd left her Tylenol at home. She had ulcers in grad school and is susceptible to stomach bleeds, so it's the only pain reliever she can take. We went to an apothecary and asked for some, and they would only sell blister cards with ten pills because of the liver damage! No 500 bottles, at least in Germany. But they also have a couple of other pain relievers that we don't over here.
