A Day In The Life.......
Apr. 27th, 2023 08:09 pmWell, I am finally home from doc appointment and some necessary and some not necessary running or should I say limping around.
She was going to say I had Bursitis in my right knee, but then she saw on my chart that I had pseudo gout in the past and she quickly changed her mind and said she thinks it's probably gout. Yippy......
I told her that some times while I am walking it feels like my knee wants to give out. She said it's possible there is a fluid pocket in there that could be making the bones not always meet up properly. UGH... A couple of times since leaving there, I have been walking and been stopped in place because the knee almost felt like it was going out under me. :o
She wanted to get an xray just in case it will show something. Stopped at the desk after leaving her to get appointment. Next available was/is 10:20 am tomorrow.
I asked if it could be done out at the hospital because I had to stop out there anyway. So he called out there. Of course they were closed already, so I will be going back into town tomorrow morning. UGH...
Stopped at the pharmacy on the way out to get the med she ordered. Heavy duty anti-inflammatory.
Then walked/limped over to the hospital to tell them that the doctor took me off work tonight and tomorrow night.
Left there and drove home. I nearly got to Stewartville and realized I didn't have my meds with me, so I drove all the way back to the hospital gimped back up to the station and thankfully they had my meds. Came back home, stopped at the grocery store, gimped through there for a few things. Came home and took Maggie out and had two knee stopping moments.
Now I am finally sitting down eating some supper. I was bad and bought some of the new BBQ flavored Doritos. They are not too bad.
Don't need them on my diet, but screw it.
So, how was your day?

Date: 2023-04-28 11:14 pm (UTC)That is awful about your knee. I hope the meds help you and at least you remembered them when you did, not when you were already home!
A few days off work, hope it does you good.
Hugs, Helen

Date: 2023-04-29 03:48 am (UTC)Thursday night was not good.
I was icing it for awhile, and I stood up to do something and it hurt so much that I couldn't stand on it for nearly 5 minutes. I just stood there and whimpered until L could tolerate putting weight on it.
It is thankfully better then that now, but still far from good. :(

Date: 2023-05-01 12:54 pm (UTC)It's definitely been a slow go.
Thursday night over night was REALLY bad. I stood up and it hurt so bad I couldn't walk on for nearly 5 minutes. :(
It's much better now, but it's got a ways to go yet. :(
