A Day In The Life.....
Apr. 7th, 2023 09:01 amI just had Maggie out to do her duty, and I looked up and at first thought I saw some Canada geese.
Then I looked again, and No, it definitely wasn't geese.
Pretty sure I saw a small flock of Great Blue Heron.
Must have been 5-6 of them.
I have seen some in the past, but usually just 1-2 of them.
It was very cool to look up and see that many. :)

Date: 2023-04-08 07:18 am (UTC)Russet did some work at Fermilab when in grad school, where they have a linear particle accelerator (small version of CERN's gear) and a small atomic power pile. They have a similar heated pond that is a very popular winter migration stopover.
