Monday at the Movies.....
Feb. 13th, 2023 10:23 amFirst let me say, sorry for falling behind.
I went up to St. Paul last night to see the play "A Soldier's Play".
When I got home I had some supper, worked on some emails, and promptly fell asleep for pretty much the whole night.
Then this morning, I have been running around trying to get paper work figured out.
Now on to trivia...
This Week's Movie Quote...
A. C.: [L. has asked to partner-up with Agatha in a wagon train] You know something ? I got a hunch you're gonna draw men like fish to bait. Maybe I can catch one of them while they swim by. You got yourself a partner.
Last Week's Movie Quote...
Klytus: [watching Zarkov's memories of Hitler at a Nazi Party rally] Now, he showed promise!
It did indeed come from the 1980 cheesy movie, "Flash Gordon".
How did such a bad movie have such great talent?
Max Von Sydow, Topop, and Timothy Dalton.
For the lead it had the cute but forgettable Sam J. Jones.

Date: 2023-02-13 05:13 pm (UTC)The History of it is even weirder, as it was something that Lucas was interested in, got turned down on, and so he went on to do Star Wars instead....and Fellini was supposed to do it and then never did.
It's choppy because Jones (the lead) left before the end of principal photography was completed and so his dialogue is dubbed.... and he was also the executive producer but had a falling out with the director.... there's a documentary "Life After Flash" about him.

Date: 2023-02-13 10:17 pm (UTC)Jones was the lead and a/the producer and then walked away?
Bet that won him a lot of favors in Hollywood. :o :o :o
