A Day In The Life.......

Follow Up to yesterday.....

I took the packing out of the cyst wound this morning.
It was actually barely down in the wound. It was dried to the skin, so I wetted it, and it came right off.
I put a new dressing over it and went about my day.
Then this evening I took the dressing off to take a shower and there was some goopy drainage on it, so I squeezed the wound to see if there was any more to get out. I did get some more out and I also got a large amount of thick white "puss" stuff. :o :o :o
I am guessing that I am far from being done with this cyst. :o :o :o
So I sent a message to the PA to ask her about it.
This is the message I sent.

Hi, I had a cyst lanced and drained on 7/7/21.
I took the packing out Thursday morning like instructed, and redressed the wound. Then Thursday evening I took the dressing off to take a shower and it was kind of gunky so I tried to squeeze the wound to see if there was any more to get out, and I ended up squeezing a large amount of white thick "puss" out of the wound.
Can I assume the cyst was not fully removed. Or was that not the purpose of the procedure on Wednesday? If there is that kind of stuff still in there, will the infection actually clear up?
