So Tuesday I had my MRI, and today I saw the Ortho PA.
What's the word on my torn rotator cuff?
It's NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I knew life could not be that simple. Did I want surgery? No. Was I ready for it? Yes. I just want my shoulder back.
The thought now is I have Parsonage-Turner Syndrome.
It is a rare nerve issue.
https://rarediseases.org/rare-diseases/parsonage-turner-syndrome/Why can't I ever have something NORMAL??????????????
The symptoms I had/am having match up almost word for word.
What I am not happy about is the waiting 6 months to 2 years before they will consider physically fixing the problem. I have a job that requires me to be able to use my whole body.
After talking with the Ortho PA today, I am to continue therapy, and after he talked to one of the Ortho surgeons I am going to see a Neuro doc.
I so wish I had a torn rotator cuff. Worse case scenario was repairing the muscle/tendon. With the PTS worse case scenario is transfering nerves or tendons. OMg!!!!!!!!!!!!!
