Jan. 15th, 2012 02:14 amI recently sent a petition to my State and Federal represenatives asking them to fight against Citizens Unitded decision that the Supremr Court made saying that Corporations are equal to individual people. Which allows Corporations to donate as much money as they feel like to political campaigns.
Here is the response I got back from my State represenative who just happens to be a Republican. His answer comes has no surprise what so ever...
Jon:
This may be a occupy wall street goal but it doesn't have any popular
support. Millions of Americans derive their livelihood from their
employment at corporations and millions more have their retirements
invested in their success.
I will continue to work to improve the standard of living of the
constituents I represent by encouraging investment and creating
employment opportunities.
Thank you,
It's the typical demonizing of the "enemy".
Apparently because Corporations employ people, that makes them People.
Excuse me while I go puke.
