Nov. 17 Day No. 5 at Disney World.....
Nov. 25th, 2011 01:48 amToday is going to be a double header.
I will spend the first part of the day at the Animal Kingdom and then in the evening I am going to Downtown Disney to see the Cirque du Soleil show, La Nouba.
When I got to Animal Kingdom I was going to head right for Expedition Everest, but as I was passing It's Tough to Be a Bug I noticed that it was just a couple of minutes away from starting a show, so I stopped there first. It's a fun 3D/Aroma movie show. Knowing what's coming it's always fun to listen for the reaction of the rest of the audience. lol...
After Bug, I did head down to Everest. After Everest I headed back to Dinoland and the Dinoasur ride. I stopped along the way to get my picture taken with some of the Pooh characters. :) Rode Dinosaur and got in line for pics with Pluto and Goofy. :p From there I decided to stop and see Finding Nemo the Musical because it was just about showtime for that. It was really enjoyable. The costumes kind of reminded me of the style of costumes of used for The Lion King stage show.
Then I headed back to the Asia area and walked through the Maharajah Jungle Trek. The tigers were typically just louging around. lol...
Then it was off to Africa and the Kilimanjaro Safaris and the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail I was in heaven with my love of animals.
I stopped to get my picture taken just after coming off the Safaris ride and she had me do a hidden picture pose. I finally pulled up my photos last night at work, and that hidden pose consisted of Stitch climbiing up out of a hole in the ground. lol...
From there I found a stand selling the turkey legs and got one. They are soo yummy. But sooo BIG and filling. lol...
After grabbing my turkey leg, I found a place to sit down that was also going to be a good place to watch the parade. :) I sat, ate, and waited for the parade, only to realize that I was a little earlier than I thought I was for the parade. Ugh, wasted time I could have been in the park. :p Oh well, not a lot of places I could go while eating the turkey leg anyway. lol...
After the parade of grabbed the train to ride over to Rafiki's Conservation area. I wondered through there.
It was getting close to the end of park hours, so I road the train back to the main park area and headed over to try and see Mickey and the gang to get pictures with them. I got in line to see Mickey and then Minnie. I skipped Goofy because I had already seen him earlier, and headed to get in line to see Donald. They were just closing the line as another person and myself came up. I turned to leave and the guy asked us if it was just us. I said yes, and he let us both in. I was waiting my turn and a couple of more people came up behind me. The guy obviously has a soft heart and didn't like to turn people away. lol........
After seeing Donald, I just kind of slowly wondered up towards the front of the park because it was closing time. Animal Kingdom closed at 5 and I didn't need to be to the Cirque du Soleil show until 8:30. I hopped the bus and went back to my hotel and changed cloths and got back on a bus heading for Downtown Disney.
As long as I had the time I decided to get off on the Marketplace side of Downtown and just walk over to the other side where the show was. Otherwise the bus does have a second drop off place closer to the West End.I got over to the Cirque du Soleil building and went through the souvenier shop and spent way too much money. Surprise :p Then I waited for the doors to open. I went in and found my seat. As time got closer to show time, a couple of clowns came through the audience and stopped behind me and started to pick on people. Thankfully not me. I was able to laugh at the others. :p
Then the show began and there is only one thing to say... AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One of the things I bought was the dvd of the show. I really need to pop that into the machine soon. It's going to interesting to see how it was recorded. There was so many things going on throughout the show. Hard to fathom.
After the show got over I headed over to the bus stop and headed back to the hotel and some rest. :)
Sadly, just one more day left at the parks. :(:(:(
