A Day In The Life.......

So Thursday I went up the state fair one last time.
Unfortunately, Neil, mrdreamjeans wasn't able to join me as planned, so I was on my own.
The day ended up being sunny and hot. Well, not some people's heatwave HOT, but for Minnesota lately, it was hot. The high ended up being around 90F/32C.
Fat people do not do well in heat. EEP...
I took a lot of pictures, so I will start with the food. There were so many things that I still wanted to eat. I got a few of them, but still missed out on others for the year.
I started with a Strawberry Delight, which is basically a glazed donut version of strawberry shortcake...


Next was some lemonade. First attempt to stay hydrated...

Next I got another slice of Pickle Pizza...

Then I tried the Key Lime Pie on a Stick. Something I have thought about trying for a long time.
Well, I tried it finally and sadly it didn't blow me away...

Then it was time for some more lemonade. Strawberry version this time...

Then I tried the Cuban Fajita. It was yummy...

Then it was time to try and cool down.
First up some frozen grapes. Perfect for a hot day...

Then another treat I have thought about over the years, a chocolate covered frozen banana.
It wasn't too bad. Not sure if I would repeat it again or not...

Then I got another glass of strawberry lemonade for the drive home...

Then I got some things to take home or have for the drive home.
Fresh made Kettle Korn...

Honey Roasted Cashews...

A bucket of Sweet Martha's Cookies...

Some fresh made French Fries...
No how to ruin French Fries? Put them in a zip loc bag so they don't make a mess in your tote bag, and don't even seal the zip loc bag. The heat inside the plastic turns your French Fries limp. :( :( :(

And then some YUMMY fried pickles. They have recently become my drive home snack...


Then it was in the vehicle and on the way home...
And heaven knows it's time to start dieting again. EEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think a lot depends on the coating that's on them. :)

The strawberry lemonade is yummy, unless you get a bunch of strawberry seeds at the bottom of your glass. lol...

Well, I bought them and at about three of them.
Sadly I killed them by putting them in plastic to protect my tote bag and they got super soggy. :o
