Lil' Tidbits.....
Feb. 25th, 2022 06:45 pmWell, today starts my first weekend of straight 8 hour shifts in a couple of years.
And at this point, I am feeling a lot less stress and anxiety. :)
****************
The other day I Was watching the bird feeder out front and over a brief period, I saw three different woodpeckers visiting.
There was a Downy Woodpecker, a Northern Flicker, and a Pileated Woodpecker.
****************
Speaking of the bird feeders, I have been trying to remember to take down the front feeder at night because the deer are not only eating the corn I put out, but they are also emptying out the bird feeder as well.
I have already talked about how the ears of corn are going up on price, and so is all the other feed.
Thankfully the deer can't get at the suet cakes inside their feeders. I noticed the other day a box of suet cakes I normally buy have gone from around $8 to just over $12.
Is it bizarre that I am complaining about animal feed and not human food?
We have visits by the Schwans company. They deliver all types of frozen foods.
All through the pandemic a lot of their products have been out of stock.
And now add in inflation their prices are shooting up and things are still out of stock.
We were supposed to have a delivery yesterday, but I cancelled it because literally nearly everything I wanted to order was out of stock. :o
I am really close to just cancelling the service all together.

Date: 2022-02-26 02:06 pm (UTC)That food delivery program sounds like a bust. I hope food gets more available soon and comes back to normal in price, at some point.

Date: 2022-02-27 01:29 am (UTC)I took Maggie out at the usual time and brought her back and thought, if I was working 12 hour shifts, I would be rushing out the door right now, instead I am going to shower, make supper, and then watch some tv. :)
