Update.....

I really need to start calling Vegas and betting on myself.

I had said one of two things were going to happen on Saturday at work, the day of my going away party by my coworkers.

1. I would float and not get my party.

2. I would get to stay, break my diet and get a bellyache.

Well, they floated me for the first 4 hours of the shift, but my friend was working as the charge nurse and she brought be back for the last 8 hours.

So I came back and broke my diet. I ate a bunch of sweet and things and had a couple of tacos too.
And, TMI, almost immediately, I got a bellyache and had a few trips to the bathroom. LOL..........


So tonight is my last shift my current station.
It's our station policy that you don't float on your last shift.
Wonder if that will happen.
I am hoping if I do one of our patients transferred out because he is a long time alcoholic and was starting to become a PIA by the end of our shift this morning. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh oh right, and now this unit is cardiac? Or? I can't remember...

It's a vascular and something else surgical icu.
I think they get a little bit of everything including some overflow from the medical icu.

So far it seems okay.
It really just feels like I am floating from my old station still. lol.....

Oh no. So now you feel like are a permanent floater. I hope that feeling goes away soon. I really can imagine how you would feel like that.

Eventually I will feel at home, and after what I learned last night, I am less sad about leaving my old station. I should make a quick post about that. :o
