I am starting my 12 hour shifts weekend shortly.
So I may be disappearing from a lot of online life for awhile.
I will try to keep some contact.
I have been burning the candle at both ends the last few days and would kill for several hours of sleep.

Good luck dear.
Our night shift is 10 hours. Some nights it is awfully long and on others time flies.

I've read your entry. Those nights are the worst.
We had one hell of a Monday night at work. We do three rounds and we start at short before nine and where finished around midnight x_X
That was like one and a half hour later than usual.

Good aspect: the rest of the shift swiftly passed, downside ... we were so tired once the shift was over. It was one the days where I was so happy to see the early shift arrive xD

Wishing you the best. Those kind of shift cycles are killers (I know from personal past experiences on some jobs when I was much younger and did 2nd & 3rd shifts).

Sorry to hear it... grab what R&R that you can and try to hold on to your sanity. Its going to be a rough time for weeks to come, I'm afraid. Europe's 4th wave is plowing thru the continent badly and they are having more Covid cases than they have had daily since the start of the pandemic and deaths are on the rise again.

You have my sympathy.

UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just learned we had a nurse that was sick/having symptoms. Got tested and then came to work before finding out the results and sure enough was positive. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm starting to think that there is a secret early brain side effect to the disease, that it tampers with the impulse control of people who get it so they do stupid things so they can infect others.

Well they do know that it can cause memory loss and a form of brain damage in some people, so it would not be impossible that the earliest level could have some affects on the brain as well.

It's also something that would, clinically be hard to catch as a symptom in the era of current mental, social and political extremes going on.
