A Day In The Life.......
Nov. 7th, 2021 05:22 amYou just know when things have been going too good, life is going to smack you down.
Well, Friday morning I was driving home and noticed the service engine light was on in my vehicle.
So I stopped at my mechanic and had them look at it because I was planning to go up to the zoo again on Saturday to see the pumpkins again and I had to take dad to the VA to get his booster Saturday morning.
Well, the mechanic said he couldn't see anything really wrong. He said if the light comes on it's okay as long as the light isn't flashing.
Okay...
Fast forward to Friday night and heading into work.
Service engine light came back on. Ugh...
I got about five minutes away from the hospital and my vehicle DIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And then the light started to flash. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!
So I called a two truck to come get it and called a friend to come get me and take me to work.
In the morning I called my friend back to get a ride home. Then called brother and SIL to get a ride for dad to the VA for his shot.
I decide to get myself a rental for a few days so I had them stop at the airport on the way home to pick that up. Had to wait for the worker to show up and then take care of the two people ahead of me.
Got a Toyota RAV4. Started to drive away and noticed they didn't give me a full tank of gas. Annoyed, but I would live with it. Then I noticed the tire pressure light was on, so I drove back to the airport to complain, and of course the worker was gone again. I called the number and she said it would take an hour to get another vehicle because she was cleaning them now. OKAY!!!!!!!
So I took dad home and went back to the airport. There were two more people waiting ahead of me, including one of those from before. :o
When my turn came, they told me the paper work showed that there was only half a tank of gas and that's all I needed to return it with, and they took the vehicle to put air in the tires. I would have preferred a different vehicle but so far the tire pressure light has stayed off.
Highlight of the day was getting back to the zoo to see the pumpkins again, and get pics of the replacement pumpkins.
That is the next entry...
