This is for my friend, truly_divine.....

This was on the card I got from the Vet after I had to have my dog, Alex, put to sleep. I hope that it will touch your heart as much as it touched mine.

Remember me always,
but do not grieve for me too long.
I have tried always
to comfort you in times of sorrow,
and have made every effort
to add joy to your life.
I never wanted to cause you pain.


Thinking of Alex when I read that brings a tear to my eye every time, but not necessarily sad tears. It helps me to remember the happy times as well.
