I called the vet office Monday morning to see about getting Maggie's medication refilled, and to also see if they are any closer to scheduling surgeries.
The lady I talked to was so not a lot of help. I was really hoping that it could be done next week because I have a five day weekend coming up and I could be home with Maggie for the first few days of her recovery. She said they were looking at two weeks out, but she could leave a message for the doctor who does the surgery and who was not in the office Monday. Basically I was going to be playing phone tag with the doctor to see about scheduling something.
Then like 20 minutes later the vet office calls back and another lady says that they could do surgery next week. She could have it done on Tuesday and would come home on Wednesday.
Now, why was that so hard for the other one to tell me. Ugh...
Then she called back again Monday evening to say that they wanted to do xrays before surgery to get a look at things. So I made arrangements to do that this morning as long as I was off work again today. So xrays are done and a refill of her meds are done.
Initial visit, and visit today we are at about $550.
Approximately $3200 more to go.

On the way home I stopped at the Family Dollar store to look for something, and granted there are not a lot of people in the store, but not a single person in the store was wearing a mask.
And THAT is why I will be wearing my mask for a good long while yet. :o :o :o

No wonder nobody has commented on this entry, I forgot to hit Post. lol...

There's quote an argument over whether masks are actually of any real use.

But they DON'T protect from transmission although they may be useful if worn by someone who's carrying the virus.
