Some times karma is on your side and some times it's not.
Or something like that. lol......
I got up a little early to run into Rochester to do a little shopping and then stop and pick up some yum for supper.
I first stopped at Barnes & Nobles to see if there were any good sales on dvds or books. Not sure why, but I think B&N is slowly getting out of the dvd business. The shelves are getting more and more sparse, and they are filling it in with crap. I picked up "Yesterday", the movie about the guy singing Beatles songs, and "Rocketman" the Elton John biopic. Surprisingly, they are still selling lots of books. lol... I picked up "Me Elton John" the Elton John autobiography, and also "Home Work: A Memoir of My Hollywood Years" and second part of Julie Andrews biography. I also picked up a 1000 piece puzzle about Maleficent from the animated "Sleeping Beauty". It's one of a series of puzzles about Disney Villains, so right up my alley.
The two movies and two books were both 40% off. Sweet... Karma smiled on me. :)
Then I stopped at JCPenney to see if they had any nice Winter coats on good sales. I have a pretty nice one, but it's a little snug at my current weight. I was looking for something longer then just waist length for those chilly walks outside with Maggie. I found a couple like that and of course the one I liked the best was a Columbia jacket, and they are not cheap. This one was $220. However, there was a sign that said 40% off. So I himed and hawed for a few minutes, and finally decided to get it. So I took it over to the sales counter or whatever you want to call it and waited in line. The sales lady was helping somebody and waiting for the manager or whatever to come over and do something on the register. Then the manager took me at another register and rang up the jacket. $220. :o I was like, isn't that suppose to be 40% off? She was kind of like, Umm... Let my go check. She came back with kind of a small grin on her face. She said that she would give me the 40% off. The sigh is meant for just one arm of the sale rack not everything, but it is deceiving and she would give me the 40% discount. I thanked her very much. So I got my $220 jacket for $132. :) Sweet... Karma smiled on me again. :)
Then I headed for the grocery store to get some salads and fried chicken. Salads not cheap, but some of them had fuel saver money on them, so I now can save 32 cents per gallon of gas. Then they had a 12 piece of chicken for $9.99. The lady started to fill the bucket with chicken legs. I was like, No, not the legs special, the 12 piece special. So she starts to refill the bucket and then say, We don't have any chicken breasts. I was like, Really? :o That's my favorite part. No offer to to go back in the kitchen and see if there was more ready. I said, Just fill it up with something. UGH!!!!!!!!!!! Karma did not smile at me at the grocery store. :(

I was going to go back to the movies tonight and see Maleficent Mistress of Evil again, I saw it Sunday night, and really enjoyed it, but the stupid theater was closed Wednesday and Thursday for private events. UGH...... Karma didn't like me there either. LOL........
Took my dad over to Albert Lea this past morning to get the flower pot off his parent's grave site. Tuned off the highway at the exit we needed and got down to the cross road, and there were the remnants of a nasty accident. :o Thankfully we didn't arrive earlier. Karma smiled on us there. :)

Now it's time to do the laundry. LOL.....
