A Day at the Fair......

Day Two...
I went up extra early, 3 am, so that I could get in line and park at the fair grounds. None of that searching around for a place to park. :o
I was also meeting up with my friend mrdreamjeans. Neil didn't have it quite so easy in the parking department. He came later and was going to park in the lot we parked in last Friday over at the University. However, when he got there, all the parking lots were blocked off because there was going to be a football came that night. So he started driving, and the lucky dog found a spot in one of the other parking lots at the fair grounds. :o

This is a shot of the big Ferris Wheel in the wee morning hours...



They have some Peanuts character statues around the fair grounds here are a couple...




Saw this "horse" outside the creative arts building...


Here is a really big, really old tractor that was originally made in Minneapolis...


This is a new building and plaza built on the North side of the fair grounds. In the building is some kind of Angry Birds gaming or something...


I saw this ad on the side of a food booth. Jimmy's dressings and dips are made right here in little old Stewartville, Mn. And the owners are our neighbors. :)

Trump is a fracking idiot... :/ I'm going to get a passport, they are really expensive over here .. like over $100 which I don't have -___- But if I scrimp and save which is truly hard for me... but, if I do.. I might come in a number of years. :p

They are really expensive here too, and I had to buy a birth certificate because I didn't know if we had one. So I think after paying for everything, it was close to $200. Thank heavens it's good for 10 years.

For some reason I missed this post on LJ!! You captured some wonderful photos! Loves me some Snoopy! You sure were busy before I made it to the Fair. I didn't remember you taking any of the photos up to the cake!

Very clever to put dairy Snoopy outside the Dairy Building. lol...

It's one of the good things about getting to the fair grounds early, that you can get some pictures without having to compete with people getting in the way. :)

I never made it to the princesses carved out of butter this year which is why I suppose I missed Snoopy! :(

I don't mind getting their early, but I considered 8:30am early. I don't know how you lasted so long!!
