Vacation Update.........

I had just a couple of hours to kill this morning before I had to head back to the airport to catch my flight home, so I decided to go the the Honolulu Zoo which was just a block from my hotel. Once there, I decided to book a tour of the zoo. It didn't end up being a full tour of the zoo, but more of a tour of the animals they had that were native to the islands or Pacific region.
I had a little time before the tour started so I just started walking around on my own. There was a light mist that eventually got a little heavier. I went back up to the gift shop to see if they sold rain ponchos and of course they didn't, and they only had umbrellas for kids. The lady I was talking to offered me her personal umbrella and I accepted gratefully.
Here was another banyan tree outside the zoo...

Wild African Dogs...

A Sumatran Tiger, smaller then the Siberian Tigers we have at the Minnesota Zoo...
Some times zoos will loan animals to other zoos. The tortoise on the left was borrowed from Minnesota. :o
