A Day In The Life.......
Dec. 11th, 2018 09:23 amI had every intention of coming here and asking for some good vibes to be sent my way because I need to get some teeth looked at. Self inflicted to a point because I don't like to go to the dentist.
Anyway, I was going to come home this morning and then call the dentist's office when they opened up.
Well, I ended up not getting home until after they opened so I went and made the appointment in person.
Why didn't I get home on time?
I was minorly rearended about 3 blocks from home. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was just turning off of Main Street, and there was an idiot big pickup waiting to pull onto Main Street. Apparently he didn't want to wait any more so he starts to back up and do a 4 point U turn so I had to stop and wait for him. Well, the idiot that was behind me either wasn't paying attention or thought he had plenty of room to swerve around me. Guess what, He Didn't. :o
Thankfully I have an SUV and he had a little Subaru. So he cracked the left rear corner of my bumper and he did more damage to his vehicle.
I called home to see if dad could find the phone number for non emergency county sheriff and he couldn't, so I called 911. I got the partial information through to them and then got disconnected. Finally the deputy showed up and the other driver was like, is there a reason the cop is here? I told him to make things official because I had been rear ended before.
I do feel the tiniest bit guilty now because after the cop took our information and made out the report he gave me back my license and insurance card, and then told me he was going to give the other driver a citation for driving too close.
So from there I went over to my insurance agent's office and talked with them. We set up a place to get things fixed. Not sure when I will get it in, but thankfully it's driveable. She also told me that because a citation was being issued my insurance would go after his insurance and I will hopefully get my deductible back. That's $500 I will happily take back. Heaven only knows how long that will take to happen of course.
From there I drove out to the dentist office and made an appointment for tomorrow morning to get the old teeth looked at and see what needs to be done. I also have an appointment on hold for Monday morning to start doing whatever that work is. :o
I have dental insurance through work, but it's set up that I have to pay every thing out of pocket and then they will pay me back for all the stuff that it covers. Sadly, that can take awhile. :o And if a root canal is involved, we are talking a couple of thousand. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know I shouldn't complain compared to what some of my friends are going through, but I am so done with this year.
