Well, here are a couple of quotes from former first lady Barbara Bush. These can certainly make you understand her son a little better.

On the eve of the Iraq invasion:
"Why should we hear about body bags and deaths? It's not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?"

About the Hurricane Katrina refugees in the Houston Astrodome:
"So many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underpriviledged anyway, so this-- this (she chuckles slightly) is working very well for them."

These quotes were printed in our local newspaper and the article comes from Rick Mercier, a writer and editor for The Free Lance-Star in Fredericksburg, Va.

I want to know what happened to grandmotherly figure that so many people loved?

I am not sure how out of context they are, but the Astrodome comment was a radio interview and the Iraqi comment was on television.
I think she is more calculating than people think she is.

I haven't liked the Bush's since daddy Bush took office as VP. That family is just too slimy for me.

Have you ever watched Bill Maher's show on HBO? They were talking about the Astrodome quote Friday night and said, The moron doesn't fall far from the tree. lol.........................
