Life Time Update............

I stopped this morning to renew my driver's license.
It wasn't due until my birthday next month, but I thought I better go early in case I didn't pass the eye test portion.
I got there and filled out the paper work. Went up and turned it in. She entered it all and then I paid my fee. It's $25.25. Seriously, how do they come up with that number?
Then she says we will move down there and do the eye test. I joked that we should have started with that. :p She cleaned it off and told me to read line 2. I looked and really couldn't make out the 4 letters on the left hand side, so I read the middle and right hand side letters. She said could you read that again, I(meaning she) missed some of what I said. I looked back and suddenly I could read the letters on the left hand said now. :) I read the line of letters and she said you got them all. :)
YAY I am good for another few years without glasses. At least for driving. LOL.......
I really should get the old eyes checked or at least look into some reading glasses. :p
I totally blame all the computer usage being hard on my eyes.

I never wore any glasses until I was 55. Now, I'm dependent on readers. 1.75 strength so far. But, I don't need glasses for anything else. And yes, it's because of so much computer screen time for social media and for work up until 2015.

I think I would have still passed. I had an eye doctor tell me one time, you only have to pass with one eye for the drivers test. But it was good to get the whole line read. :)

I wish they'd have people renew their license here once in a while, but they don't. So there are a lot of older people who are blind as bats driving around out there.

Nah, don't worry about that. It might strain the eye muscles after a while, but that doesn't have anything to do with worsening vision itself.

Is that a European thing not to have to renew your licenses? One of my Belgium friends said they don't either. :o

I need to relax my eyes more often when I am using the computer. I catch myself squinting hard once in awhile. :p

Seriously tho, you should get your eyes checked. I pushed my hubby to have a test a few years ago and it turned out he had glaucoma and had no idea! Don't want to frighten you, but your eyesight is so precious.
