Book Reading.......
Dec. 27th, 2016 09:35 amI have finished Books No. 55 and 56. I think that's it for the year.
No. 55 was "Politically Correct Christmas Stories" by James Finn Garner.
It's another Christmas reading tradition. He takes a handful of traditional Christmas stories and drives a politically correct stake through their souls. LOL.........
At the end of A Christmas Carol, I couldn't help but see Cheeto in the role of Scrooge. :o
No. 56 was "The Truth" by Terry Pratchett.
This is another of his Disc World series.
It's kind of a spoof of how The Press came to be.
Somebody is trying to get rid of Lord Vetinari the leader of the city, Ankh-Morpork. William who's job is Words suddenly finds himself becoming an investigative reporter and running a newspaper to solve the mystery.
Death makes an appearance and that is always fun. :)
Once again, at the end of this book and the bad guy is revealed, I can't help but see Cheeto.
Did these authors foresee Cheeto? :o
