Aug. 2nd, 2005 02:48 amI have finished Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. :)
I must be about a year and a half ahead of schedule. lol.....
I have to admit I didn't see Dumbledores death coming. In fact, I was going a whole different way with Dumbledore's character. I just kept getting the feeling that he was in fact Voldemort. I just kept thinking why all the mystery? Even at the end a little part of me thought, well, maybe Snape killed Voldemort knowing it was him. That Dumbledore is hidden somewhere and Snape knows that too. I know I am totally bizarre with my thoughts, but weirder things have happened. lol...
I was a little disappointed that Rawlings started off with the magical and muggle world connecting, but then nothing more came from that. What a gip. I thought there were some interesting things that could have come from that. Oh well.
Darn there was something else that I was totally going off in another direction with, and I can't think of it right now. :p
I must say, I am a little disappointed in the last couple of books. How can such big books have so little to offer? I have to wonder if
morzsa isn't right that Rawlings isn't getting paid by the page.
It is going to interesting to see how much Hogwarts plays in the final book. With some of the main characters obviously not going back there, is it worth even writing it into the story line?
Well, those are some thoughts off the top of my head anyway. So what did you all think?
