Trump: I Will Govern for All Americans
President-Elect Donald Trump took the stage at the Hilton Hotel in midtown Manhattan early Wednesday morning to a jubilant crowd, vowing to heal the wounds caused by this year’s presidential campaign. He told the crowd that Hillary Clinton called him to concede the race. “We owe her a major debt of gratitude to her for her service of our country,” Trump said of Clinton, congratulating her on a hard-fought campaign. He pledged to be a “president for all Americans.” He also delivered a message to the rest of the world, saying: “While we will always put America’s interests first, we will deal fairly with everyone, with everyone, all people are all other nations. We will seek common ground, not hostility, partnership, not conflict.”
