Last evening I finished up book No. 43. :)
I read "A Story Lately Told" by Anjelica Houston.
It's a autobiography of her early life.
Part of me says she had a pretty easy life. Part of me says her early life was kind of rough.
If nothing else, she sounds like she was kind of a clutz or at least very unlucky. lol... At one point she fell over a stairwell railing and landed on her head. :o So actually maybe she was lucky in that she survived. :o
Anjelica is the daughter of actor/director John Houston and the granddaughter of actor Walter Houston. She was raised on an estate Ireland. She was surrounded by fine art, celebrities, etc.
That said, she was not surrounded by parental effections. Her father was always away directing a movie. Her mother slowly drifted away and sadly was killed in a car accident.
The book only goes through her 20s. This was pretty much all new for me. I know her more for her later acting career. A favorite movie of mine would be The Witches. :)
A negative of the book, at least for me, she spent a lot of time describing household wares and things like that.
I hope she will write more and talk about her later life.

Just looking at imdb, looks like a lot of her more recent things have been voice acting.
I should pop in The Witches. Maybe tomorrow night during the debate. :p

Not even historical people?
Although you have to be careful picking those books because they can be very dry. More like school books. :o

You seem to like the autobiographies, I used to love them but have gotten away from them.

I wonder what she looked like when she was young? I imagine like 'Wednesday' from the Adams family ;-)

Back when I didn't do much reading, the little I did was almost always biographies/autobiographies. :)

I think from my understanding, she was one of those people that grew into her looks/body. :)
