I just got back from the Minnesota State Fair.
It was an interesting day/evening.
On the way to the fair grounds I was driving down University Ave in St. Paul, and I there was a dump truck in the lane ahead of me sitting there, so I put my blinker on and there was some room in the next lane so I started to ease my vehicle over and so of course the idiot in the other lane wouldn't give ground and pulled right up next to me.
Then I got to the fair grounds and found my expensive parking spot. :o
I walked around the fair grounds, ate a few things, bought a few things, and eventually it was time to get ready for the grandstand show. I was seeing Demi Lavato and Nick Jonas in concert.
I found my seat and waited. Eventually a mother and little daughter came in and sat down next to me. She whined about the tight seating arrangements. Then they moved over a couple of spots and sat there until the people that had those seats showed up. Then they moved back over next to me and she was still whining about the close seats. She commented that it was like being on an airplane and I chuckled because I thought she was joking about it. Then she commented that she likes her personal space, and she moved her hands around herself like she was putting up a wall.
Needless to say I was sitting next to BAT SHIT CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A few minutes later all of a sudden I hear, Could you please not sit on my seat. :o I looked at her and said, I'm not sitting on your seat. Her response, Well, you're not now.
EXCUSE ME??????????????????????
I told her if she wants room there are plenty of empty seats up in the grandstands.
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then the WEIRDO who whined about needing her personal space proceeded to pump into me off and on all night long. OMg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The concert itself was good. There was an opening act, , who was pretty good.
Then Nick Jonas came out and sang. He was really good.
The CRAZY TIMES returned.
Just before Nick was finished all of a sudden this big arm was wrapped around my next, and a security guard pulled my head over to his and tells me that my camera was "almost a professional" camera and that I would have to stop using it. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I asked him if I put a smaller lens on it would it be okay? Yes, if you use a smaller lens that would be okay. OMg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I put my smaller lens back on the camera body and got crappy pictures for the rest of the concert.
UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My outings just never seem to go smoothly. :o :o :o

Nick was really good, and really cute. :p
Demi's got a great voice, but just not a big fan of her. She has a really strong voice like Christina Aguilera, but I'm not a fan.

One of the huge reasons I don't like crowded places are the crowds. Ugh!

WOW! Perhaps, next year I'll be back in Minnesota and we can wander the Fair as friends. I've never stayed into the evening or seen one of the concerts. My friends Jason and David live close enough to the grounds that sometimes they can hear the concerts from their house.

You were kinder to the woman sitting next to you than I would have been. I thought you were going to say you got security to remove her, not give you a hug! :) Seriously, I can't believe he touched you!

Despite the bumps, I hope you had a good day at the Minnesota State Fair!

Well, I get antsy if I don't have space too (even on the tram, people next to me are way too close for comfort). But I certainly wouldn't whine about it. It's not like you could make the seats bigger or further apart.

Friday at the fair went better minus the traffic delay because of an accident.
I stopped at customer services and made a complaint about the security guard. Unfortunately I didn't have his name so nothing will really happen. :(

Our grandstand shows this year were kind of disappointing. There were two nights of The Dixie Chicks, that I would have liked to have seen, but they were both sold out by the time I had even heard they were going to be there. :o
