My oldest son's father falls under the lifetime gun ban imposed by the Lautenberg Amendment.

But first he had to break every single olive branch he was offered.

Apparently it's rare to know someone in the US who can say "the person most likely to shoot me has a harder time getting their hands on a firearm because of the Lautenberg Amendment," which is sad and frightening.

The US seriously has a problem with giving guns back to people who really. do. not. need. to. have. them.
