Finished up Book No. 26 this morning. :)
I read "4:50 From Paddington" by Agatha Christie.
It's a reread from about 5 years ago. It was next on my Nook collection of Miss Marple books, so I thought, why not. :)
The book is quite different from the movie that it's based on. Same dead bodies, but a few different characters.

Sounds like they tinkered a LOT with the Margaret Rutherford movies. :p I think I read that two of them weren't even Miss Marple stories. lol...

Oh no, but I have tried to give more time to it.
Like when I go to the movies, like I did last evening, I have learned to take my nook along with me and read before the show starts. :)

I read 4.50 years ago. Doesn't it start with a little old lady called Elspeth McGillicuddy? Or something like that!

I dare say the films of the Agatha Christie books and the books themselves are quite different. I don't know why that has to be, the books are good enough as they are.
Reading is my favourite occupation.

I think when it comes to the Margaret Rutherford movies, they wanted to get as much Miss Marple in the story as they could. In the books she's portrayed as a feeble old lady.

Margaret Rutherford was a hoot! My favourite Miss Marple is Joan Hickson. When she was on stage, Agatha Christie actually wrote to her and said she hoped she would play Miss Marple!
