disneydream06Did anyone else watch the Live 8 concert that was on Saturday?
I watched the tv coverage of it and I have to say It SUCKED!!!!! The highlight coverage on ABC that night wasn't too bad, but the day long coverage on MTV/VH1 sucked beyond belief. I swear they gave more air time to the VJs covering the event than they did the acts that were actually performing. What a disappointment. They would show some of a song and then they would cut away to chat amoungst themselves. Elton John is to big of an act to be cut away from just so the VJs can chat about what is coming up later in the day.
It just goes to show that MTV/VH1 don't know how to cover music any more. The coverage for Live Aid back in the 80s was so much better. And that was even a bigger event, at least as for the number of acts there were.
