Apr. 17th, 2016 06:08 amI've gone to the movies a couple times this past week.
I saw "Hello, My Name is Doris" and "The Jungle Book".
Both movies were great in my humble opinion. I think I would give them both an A-.
"Hello, My Name is Doris" is about an older lady who works quietly in an office who starts to come out of her shell when a new good looking younger guy starts to work at the office. Through her day dreams and some miscommunications she comes out of her shell and falls head over heels for the new guy at the office.
"The Jungle Book" I am guessing is fairly self explanatory. I saw it in 3D on an IMAX screen. I normally don't like 3D movies, but this is the second one I have seen on IMAX, and I have loved it. Not sure if it's the BIG screen or what, but it really works. The only thing I didn't like about the movie is some times the computer generated animals moved a little choppy, not fluid like a real animal. It's most noticeable in Shir Khan.
I can't imagine how hard it must have been for the young actor playing Mowgli to basically film the whole movie by himself. There were only a couple of fairly short scenes where there were any other humans in the movie.
And this is the new trailer for Alice Through the Looking Glass...
