This seems to be a problem with the Vatican. Or the priesthood. I vaguely remember something like this not too long ago, but I can't remember if it was at the Vatican or if it was a state side priest.

Back in 2012 there was a huge scandal with the Vatican Bank ~accusations of money laundering, secret accounts and all sorts of improprieties.
Of course there has been an ongoing scandal with child-molesting priests and the attempted cover-ups that started in the US, but has since spanned the world.

I have some respect for the current Pope, Francis, but it is hard to respect the Catholic church as a whole. The corruption and hypocrisy run too deep.

The Baptists are no better.

I can understand you. That is really sad. And when things like that happen it is no wonder that people are not donating to a good cause because they wonder if the money is really used for what they ar going to donate or not
