September is FINALLY here. YAY................

I have 7 more days of weight restrictions at work because of the stitches.
I think it's healing up okay, kind of hard to get a good look at your own butt. LOL...
It's still pretty tendor to sit directly on or lay down on in bed.

I have 13/14 more days until vacation. Kind of depends on how you are counting. lol...
It will be 5 more nights of work once I go back.

I am going to run into Rochester this morning to get some shopping for the trip done.
Wednesday morning I might run up to the Minnesota Zoo.
Thursday night I am going up to Minneapolis to see the Minnesota Gophers football(American) team play.
Trying to talk myself into going up to the Minnesota State Fair either Saturday or Sunday morning. You can't go to the fair without stuffing yourself on lots of "bad" foods, and I am afraid of what that would do to my diet. :o It's that guilt I have mentioned in the past. :p

Might have to sneek in a wee nap tonight if I am going to tackle the zoo in the morning. :o

How big is the zoo? It's been years since I've been to one. Do you get to the lakes much? I have a cousin that lives in Thunder Bay, Ontario, her dad used to be Superintendent of the shipyards on Lake Superior. I expect that is a great distance away from you tho lol!

Yeah, it's a few hours from here to Lake Superior.
I think the last time I was up there I was probably a PreTeen. lol...
The Minnesota Zoo is a fair size. I think they actually have quite a bit of space that's unused.

I do hope you heal up fast! Is it a pain to have the weight lifting restrictions at work - like in worse shifts or anything?

Have fun at the zoo! Is it very big?

Hugz,

I am sitting at home. My station requires that you be able to lift 35 lbs, and the Back to Work group they have for people on restrictions didn't have any short term duties they could assign me. So an unexpected vacation I guess you would call it.
It's a fairly good sized zoo. They also have quite a bit of space that is unused.

Oh I see, mandatory vacation. I hope you can afford it?

It hurts to lose the shift differential especially with vacation coming and losing it then too. Thankfully I have just enough PTO time to cover it. :o

Thank goodness for your PTO!
Oh yes the shift differential, that comes in very handy. I remember getting that when I worked nights as a pharmacy clerk.
Hope you can get back to work soon, at least get in a few days before your vacation!

I hope it heals fast!

Yeah you CAN! Discipline! Heheh! Seriously, I know how tempting it is and everything smells so good. I don't even like sweets but when I visit a fair, I inevitably end up with my face buried in a wad of cotton candy or something.

*hugs*

Thank you. :)

I always start my visit with Mini Donuts.
Other yummy things, Tator Tot Hotdish on a stick, Kettle Corn, ice cream shakes made from fresh dairy at the fair.

I must get cotton candy if I go. I always plan to and then never seem to remember. lol...

I always get hungry eventually, and then the grilled bratwurst, quiche lorraine, potato pancakes or döner kebabs start to smell like I'd rip skin to have some, and so I do (eat some, mind you, not cut throats. LOL). I love the smell of roasted almonds too, but I can't have any because of allergies, so...cotton candy it is. :)

Oh No... To food allergies.
It's a good thing, or maybe a bad thing, that I don't have any. lol... I do have some food dislikes though. :p

Nah, it's a good thing. Anaphylactic shock is a hell of a ride, but stick to the fairground rides if you can, it is NO fun. :P

I know you have food dislikes, you wrinkle your nose at most of the stuff I love...while I wrinkle my nose at Tater Tots. LOL!

Now I do have to sleep. Gute Nacht. :)

Easier said then done, but it's the fair, don't worry about it.
Now if I could just convince myself of that. lol...

I hope you made it to the zoo.

I do okay at fairs but that's because I tell myself I'm too poor for food, the food could easily be unsanitary or have allergens or they inevitably have eggs which I gave up.

Thanks for telling me about the Barnes and Noble thing in July but I got my times confused, thought it was a day activity and it only happened at night so I missed it. There weren't even signs during the day to tell me otherwise.

Oh No... That sucks about missing the B&N event. Sorry.

I am kind telling myself that too about the fair. Entry and Parking will be $26 just for myself. :o I hadn't really planned on it, so I didn't the discount tickets ahead of time. :( And yeah, the food is not cheap. :o

Made it to the zoo. Spent about 3 1/2 hours there, and my heel is feeling the pain now. How am I going to do 8 full days at WDW? And two evenings in 6 inch heels? UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it's okay, but I might try to see if I can get a nurse to look at it to make sure.
Thank you. :)

The stitches can come out now. I thought I could get somebody to do it for me, but didn't work that way, so I am going in this coming morning and see if one of the nurses at the clinic can take them out for me. Still drains a little bit, but I think it's doing okay. Hard to get a really good look at it. :p
