A Day in the Life..........

I went up to Minneapolis last night to see the Minnesota Vikings, football, play.
Thunderstorms were forecast to be in the area. I ran into a little rain on the way up, and a few sprinkles as I walked over to the light rain train to get over to the stadium.
The game got started. The stadium announcer made the announcement that in case of bad weather we would have to evacuate the stadium, it's the University of Minnesota Gophers open air stadium. The Vikings are using it while their new stadium is being built.
The game got off to a rather slow start. It was 6-6 in the second quarter. With just over 8 minutes to play in the second quarter, sure enough, they told us to evacuate the stadium. :o
They asked everybody to please move to one of the three arenas on the University campus. I ended up on Williams Arena, the basketball arena. The A/C wasn't on and talk about a warm building.
For entertainment they put the weather radar on the scoreboard screen. Very large band of orange was going across the Twin Cities area. Then they put up an sign that said that it would be approximately 30 minutes before the evacuation would be over.
Shortly after 9pm they opened the stadium again and started the game back up. There was off and on rain for the rest of the game, which finally got over at 11pm.

And let's add insult to injury, so to speak, my cyst is starting to get inflamed and sore again. ARGH...
This better not delay the surgery to remove it. I need to get this taken care of before I head to Florida. Needless to say, I will be calling them right away Monday morning to see what can be done.

I wasn't really sure what the weather was doing besides raining quite hard, and I am not really that familiar with the Campus are of The Cities.
I called one of my friends in Florida that I usually talk to Saturday nights, so that used up some time.

I just pray they don't try and put me through another round of antibiotics. That would mean the surgery would be right before my trip at the earliest. :o

See, if the Vikings win (or continue to exist), it means that something in the world is making Mark HAPPY. That is unacceptable. He's also a Yankee, Ranger, and Jet fan (as is Jeff), but I can't really do much about the Yankees winning and I don't care about the Rangers or the Jets. But the Vikings? The team he has no logical reason to be a fan of except that SETH was when he was a dumb kid? It is NOT OK for the Vikings to EVER win.

I fly down on Sept. 16th. Then I come home on Sept. 28th.
Then I fly out to Las Vegas on Oct. 13 and come home on the 17th. :)
