I don't remember it being an "Imperial" Court when they ruled that Corporations were people and could donate all the money they wanted to to get certain people elected to office.

and those of us who had family members who died on the way to texas independence (and btw, the thing about "texas can secede"? PURE BULLSHIT. when texas joined those lesser states, it was for KEEPS.), on the battlefields towards american independence, and in the horrible sadness of the civil war...

i'm still proud to be a texan. i think that there are plenty of texans who should be encouraged to move south, though. oh, not to mexico, that's south-and-WEST.

despite my better judgement (i plead only sleeping 2 hours last night, al and shadow were both on a tear and i'm running a fever) i began to read the comments under the article about the idiot refusing to issue marriage licences.

my eyeballs about rolled back in my head when i read "denton". see...it's a little county up near dallas that thinks it's the bee's knees when it comes to Rightous Behavior.

and then i read this dissenting opinion, and thought it was absofuckinglutely brilliant:
