Arghh!! This pet food and treats for them is a struggle! It really makes me mad.
I am feeding Chakra Pure Vita and Sparkles the Kahoots brand of beef kibble, how do we know what to do??

I had been giving Maggie Beggin Strips for treats, then I saw some packages of jerky type treats and I looked at the label and they were basically just chicken or beef and maybe some salt or something. Now that is my idea of REAL. And it's not from China.
So I don't know if I could try to switch her food now or just go with it as long as she likes it. :o

i feed nutro to shadow, both wet and dry. (she has kibble available all the time, and one can wet food at night)

the ex used to be manager at Petco, and he got the real scoop on what foods were good and what aren't. the ones made with the actor's name on it? the canned food is actually made at a plant that makes PEOPLE food. that's how seriously the guy takes it... eh, i doublechecked and it's no longer available. dammit. but chris actually TASTED it at one of their yearly meetings, and said the irish stew tasted like stew. much like dinty moore if you've ever tried that. and out dogs ate it FAST.

shadow has a picky stomach and the nutro has helped her keep her weight right around 7 pounds no problem.

I guess when you consider the crap that goes in human food, it's hard to expect them to treat our pets any better. :(

you can get nutro at petsmart and petco both, including on the petco website.

shadow has been eating this since we first got her and once she STARTED eating, has not had problems except when she got herself all worked up emotionally. *sighs* she gets upset, she hacks like she has a hairball...poor booger.

I won't buy ANY cat food from the supermarket anymore, because it's all crap, no matter what their ads say. I only buy at special pet food stores and make sure it's grain free, soy free, and has no additives or artificial nutrients. I used to pay heed to the ads, or thought the most expensive supermarket brands were superior, but they're just not.

Sometimes. But with Mubbie's food allergies, I can't afford for it to be a crap shoot. I have to read labels very, very carefully and only buy "clean" food for him. But the good thing is he's much healthier and energetic in general, besides the allergies being under control, and his coat is so shiny it's almost blinding - lol!
