they fancy themselves Cajun (Acadian french) but they act like a coonass. (lousiana for hillbilly) and no, that is NOT a strictly "ugly name for black folk" name.

i've been there often enough to know that. the ex lived there nearly 2 years, daughter and granddaughter stayed with him nearly a year. plus, one of the offices with the company TheEngineer works for is there, too. (houma, lousiana, houston, texas, vicksburg, mississippi, dubai, UAE, singapore, and glasgow, scotland are the ones i remember, there's one other place in europe though. so yeah, he travels a bit LOL)

eh, we took it in stride. it was a once in a lifetime trip, so we enjoyed the scenery and the things we did, and it was all good. haggis and learned that I LIKE good (very expensive) scotch, and HUZZAH for bagpipes, and lots of good memories. :)
