The law here is simple.

You may not discriminate on grounds of race, creed, colour, nationality, sex, sexuality, gender, gender identity, bodily ability or neurotype.

If you do attempt to discriminate, you are breaking the law and it will cost you.

Why is this so hard to understand?

Sadly no- but at least their hatred costs them.

I see the two guys that were turned away from that B&B last year got a handy little compensation payout recently and the business has gone bust and that hotel that turned away the gay couple wishing to get wed has been losing business steadily ever since.

Bigots tend to forget that 'others' have 'normal' friends.

If it teaches the bigots a lesson, I'm all for their being made to shell out when they break the law- one could always donate the proceeds to charity.

Hm, at least it would be something like honesty.

But some other association rises up with that.
That would be like a turnaround of "Deutsche, kauft nicht bei Juden!"
"We are Jews and we serve no other than our own community! Go somewhere else!" - something like that.

I agree with this politician, don't like the driscrimination law, but if you are going to have it, you might as well shine a light on those that support it. :o

I'm really glad that the local government here doesn't have enough power to create these silly laws right now. The day could soon come, they've started giving out abilities to the bigger cities.
