I had another doctor's appointment on Friday afternoon to get my dressing changed.
Surprisingly, I was called back 45 minutes early, YAY... The nurse removed the dressing and packing. She said it looked really good, and then went to get the doctor.
Another new doctor, ugh. He looked at it and told me he didn't think it needed to be packed any more and that I didn't need to come back for any more visits.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was very unexpected because the last time I saw a doctor, he thought I would need to come in for at least a couple of more weeks, next week yet, and hopefully it would be halfway filled in.
Apparently, it healed quite a bit in the last week.
That or the other doctor was a lot more conservative with his treatments then the one I just saw yesterday.

Either way, I am free from the clinic appointments
Too bad I am not free from all the bills that will start to roll in just in time for Christmas. BLECK...

A HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank You, goes out to my dear friend Kevin, thirteenrocks for taking such good care of me and my wound during all of this. He has also agreed to keep an eye on the wound occasionally to make sure that it's healing over okay. :)

I do have to say I am thrilled to have reached this point in my healing process, but now that it's not being packed and can feel some discomfort when I lean back against it occasionally.
Also, it was FANTASTIC to be able to hope in the shower again. :) Although it did kind of bother me a little to have the water spraying on the wound. :p

Anyway, I am just soooooooo HAPPY. :)

I had three cysts on my back removed. The two smaller ones they were able to stitch up and close. The third one was too big and had been infected? that they left it open and I have to have packing and dressing changes on it every other day.

I tried to look at it before getting in the shower, and you can kind of see how skin is filling in the hole. :)
I wonder if I could sprinkle some fertilizer on it to speed things up? :p
