Book Reading.....
Jul. 23rd, 2014 02:51 amFinally finished up book No. 20.
I read the follow up to Miss Buncle's Book titled Miss Buncle Married by D. E. Stevenson.
In this book Barbara Buncle and her publisher, Arthur Abbott, have gotten married. They move to a little village and soon Barbara is getting involved in the neighbors' lives.
At one point she writes a book about this village and its inhabitants. However, she doesn't want to publish this one. She is afraid the same thing will happen as did the first one. People will find out who wrote and they will be forced to move out of her beloved new home.
This sequel in my opinion is not as good as the first. Most of the book feels disjointed. It isn't until at least half way through that it feels like it's starting to gel.
I just was looking and I see she wrote at least one more Barbara Buncle/Abbott book. I will have to check it out. Hopefully Married was just a sophmore slump. :p
