Book Reading.....
Jul. 11th, 2014 04:17 pmA little behind on book reports. :p
Book No. 19, was Four to Score by Janet Evanovich.
It's the next book in the Stephanie Plum bounty hunter series, and it was a lot of fun.
Stepanie is hunting a lady who skipped bail on a minor offence. The perp's boy friend starts getting "puzzles" from her to lead him to "love letters" and he gets Stephanie to help figure things out. To help figure out these puzzles Stepahie gets connected to a guy who does drag for the band he is in, and of course Lula is in on all the action as well. This little team is a riot.
Of course things are never easy in Stephanie's life. The case is also given to a personal rival of Stephanie's.
Stephanie's car and appartment get fire bombed. She ends up stay her cop "friend" Morelli. That leads the neighborhood into assuming they are sleeping together and she's pregnant. Well, they are half right.
So not only does Stephanie need to find the perp on the run, but she has to try and figure out which of Morelli's girlfriends is trying to kill her.
