Absolutely. It took a gay person to explain this to me when I was in my early twenties, but I get it now, and I'm glad they took the time to educate me.
It's so sad that so many Homophobics think that Gay Rights means Gay Privileges. I am glad somebody explained this to you, and that you understand it. :)
