Sadly that seems to be the thing to do out there. Buy up old homes/mansions and then tear them down and build bigger ones. UGH.......

I know I have heard in the past how old stars homes have been bought up and torn down. Drives me insane. :o
I think Pickfare(sp?) was torn down like that. It was the home of Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks. Huge stars many years ago. :(
