Jun. 11th, 2014 12:25 amDay 2 of the vacation...
It's still figuratively pouring. :p
I took my car in because the back two tires have been having issues in holding air pressure. A couple of hours later the shop calls to say that one of the tires needs the wheel bearing replaced because it's loose. $150+ an hour of labor. I went to get my car and $274 later I got my car back.
The day/night did end on a better note though.
I went to the movies to see a recorded stage place, Driving Miss Daisy. It starred Angela Lansbury and James Earl Jones. It was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really felt like I was part of the audience that was at the show when it was recorded. Laughing away with them.
The only part I didn't care for about the show was the ticket price. OUCH... A regular movie at this theater costs $9.50. With my Mayo Clinic discount I can get in for $6.50. This special showing of Driving Miss Daisy cost.... $20.00. No discount available. It was worth the price. Well, it was when you consider that seeing it live was probably over $100.
And for my friend
endlessblush it was recorded in a theater Down Under. :) Sorry I can't remember which one.
