They were operated by the Catholic Church weren't they? Nothing surprises me with the crap that happened with things they ran.

there was a convent school here in houston, closed in the 70's...when it was torn down there were 70+ tiny baby skeletons found. CONVENT school. BOARDING school, no boys allowed. the nuns were the ones who had contact with the priests. do the math.

it's terrible. and here today i heard three woman proclaim judgement on the son/brother's g/f who did not want to have his illegetimate offspring, who had an abortion. she was the FOURTH woman he had knocked up, had not married any of them, was not supporting any of them "but he WANTED that baby!"

i felt sick. i just gave all three of them a look, must be nice to be able to judge that much...two of them on welfare, one of them depending on the church to help her with stuff. my mother was bringing furniture, toys, and baby clothes that she bought of her own money. but oh, it was FINE to judge other women's choices.

babies in care homes dying? pretty damn common. after all, they were just bastards soiled by their parents' sinning.
