Date: 2014-05-30 01:44 am (UTC)i used to live in atlanta. sandy springs is on the outskirts of atlanta. every one of us at the moving company i worked for used to GROAN OUT LOUD when we were sent there, because sure enough the homeowner was going to be a hover-person, standing over you to make sure every little dish was packed JUST so. i had one twa...twerp want me to WRAP ALL HER CANNED GOODS and pack them carefully. WTF, right?
so, no. sandy springs and dunwoody, both of them competing in how far they could get their heads up their own asses. people had to sit down carefully, lest they snap their own necks!

I swear there are a lot of people in this country that are reverting back to Puritan times. Sex is a forbidden topic, and heaven forbid it's anything other then boring straightforward hetero sex. lol.........

(i traded off with another packer to get that room. getting residuals off the WW1 and WW2 helmets was enough to make me literally throw up, and the books were much more soothing to my system. plus, it went faster in the long run.)
i cannot understand the sex thing, myself. now...in my opinion parents should start teaching children about their bodies as they become curious and ask questions. i will admit blushing my face into FLAMES at times, but i ALWAYS answered honestly. a time or two i said, "let me go get a glass of water, then we'll finish talkig" so i could handle my embarassment, but i ALWAYS answered. if a parent cannot or WILL not do that? then let the school handle the subject.
if not? prepare for a LOT more instances of teen pregnancy and young women who find that the STD that they didn't know about has rendered them infertile. or cases like a girl in my senior year...he was a senior, she was a freshman, and he was convinced that she couldn't get pregnant because (a) she was a virgin and (b) she was on her menses. their daughter should be 33 this year. there was NO sexual education in that school at ALL.
sorry, but this is REALLY a soapbox subject for me. (although i have no clue how young people as connected to the interwebs as most of them are still keep falling pregnant...)
