actually - no - not on a table I have a unique arrangement my keyboard sits on a bulletin board wedged into a partly opened drawer and the phone - on a cord - is wedged in along side the board Hey, it works for me. lol
My cellphone is always with me. In my purse, next to me on the table, next to my bed.. always.. As I never know if I can expect a phonecall from my brother.
i have the 5s version of the iphone. in a fancypants otterbox case because i DROP THINGS and lets not go shattering $800 worth of phone. (and especially since he was sucking up to me on that day and bought me the gold one rather than white or black, LOL)
but yeah. TheEngineer calls. or my children call. or my mother calls. and i use it for internets when i don't have the laptop or tablet with me...i only take the tablet when we travel. period. then again, i gots MOVIES on the tablet LOL.
which is why the otterbox defender case. the ex got me convinced on them...
he used to work for at&t and they were issued both an iphone (to get people to buy them) and the otterbox because they sell them in the store for like $60. his way of showing customers how well the things worked? he'd sling it across the store, hitting the floor, hitting the wall...and NO fucking damage.
he's still using that same iphone 3. no damage, not even after the grandbaby played with it. (there are small children apps for the iphone! so he'd put those on and let her play with the silly thing. *G*)
but amazon carries the same otterboxes for less money. and i got the otterbox before he bought the iphones, because he'd been talking about it for a month before he bought them LOL
That's why I am glad I just have a cheapy pay as you go kind of phone. It sits in my backpack and I rarely use it. lol... It drives me crazy watching coworkers constantly on theirs. I just want to go, Um, aren't you at work now??? :o
I know right - i never answer it when it rings and I get annoyed when the text message goes off - hahaha. Mine is a work one - the most use it gets is my Words with Friends games :) oh and instagram
My landline is on a little table by the front door. My mobile is usually somewhere near by. If I'm in the lounge watching TV or on my laptop it's usually sat on the coffee table. At night time it sits on my bedside table
