I just finished up book No. 13.
I read Three to Get Deadly by Janet Evanovich.
It's the third installment in the Stephanie Plum bounty hunter series.
These books are fun easy reads.
Stephanie is working for her cousin Vinnie as a bounty hunter. Stephanie is far from perfect and she lives a far from perfect life. It almost gives you a feeling of, you could be her.
Her mom is always worrying about her. Sending tons of leftovers home with her. Her grandma wants to play with her gun and be a part of the action. A former hooker, Lula, is working as a file clerk for Vinnie and has been become Stephanie's sidekick. Morelli, the boy who "played with her in the garage as kids", is now a cop that's back in her life personally and professionally.
In this book she is trying to track down Uncle Mo, the local candy store owner, whom everybody loves. Every body is not happy with Stephanie for "picking on" Uncle Mo. Then they find a lot of dead bodies in the store basement. Things change a little bit, but then every body starts to think Uncle Mo is killing drug dealers and they go back to worshiping him again.
Eventually the truth starts coming out and Uncle Mo ain't so innocent and Stephanie gets her man.
The comedy relationship between Stephanie and Lula is a riot.

Thank you. :)
I had to look at last year to see where I was in comparison. I thought I was behind. Last year at this time I had just finished up No. 10. So I am actually a little ahead. :o

Still a book.
I don't count books that have too few pages.
I have a couple like that that I want to read, but I can't count them because just don't have enough content. :p
